Verification of refugees at the place of registration: how not to lose IDP status and payments from the state
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced a resolution, according to which the National Social Service of Ukraine will selectively check the actual stay of internally displaced persons (IDPs) at their previously indicated address of residence. Inspections will be carried out to prevent illegal receipt of cash payments by migrants.
How will the verification of IDPs be carried out at the address of residence?
It is noted that if the inspectors do not find anyone at the previously indicated place of stay, they will leave an official message in which they will ask the migrant to appear at the department of social protection of the population at the place of residence within 10 days.
Can IDPs be deprived of cash payments?
If the resettled does not appear at the social security authorities within 10 days, the receipt of cash payments will be suspended from the following month.
We will remind you! Currently, internally displaced persons receive 2,000 hryvnias per adult and 3,000 hryvnias per child or person with disabilities.
What to do when changing the place of residence of an IDP in order not to lose the monthly cash benefit?
When the place of actual residence of an IDP is changed, it is necessary to register at the new place. To do this, you need to contact the social security authorities as soon as possible and inform them of your new address.
In order to continue payments to persons who are entitled to it, the relevant body at the new place of residence makes a request to the body at the previous place of residence.
