An emergency NATO meeting took place in Brussels. Despite Ukraine's expectations, NATO does not currently agree to secure a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

"It was mentioned. But the Allies agreed that we do not need NATO planes in Ukrainian airspace or NATO troops entering Ukraine," said NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

NATO believes that sending NATO fighters into Ukraine's airspace could provoke a full-scale war in Europe.

"It is our responsibility to prevent the escalation of this war and its spread beyond Ukraine, because then the situation will become even more dangerous. Therefore, we have made it clear that we will not interfere either on land or in the airspace," Stoltenberg said.

NATO members are increasing sanctions against Russia and providing weapons to Ukraine on a daily basis.  However, they do not want to directly involve their military.

At the same time, foreigners can defend the security of Europe in Ukraine in the ranks of the International Legion.
