Adaptive quarantine in Ukraine

For the first time, the model of adaptive, or local, quarantine was introduced in Ukraine on May 22, 2020. Today, the adaptive quarantine is valid until December 31, 2021 with the possibility of extension.

What is adaptive quarantine and how does it work?

The adaptive quarantine model assumes the introduction of various quarantine restrictions – more or less strict – in each region of the state, depending on the epidemic situation in it.

In total, there are 4 levels of restrictions "green", "yellow", "orange" and "red", each of which sets a specific list of requirements for tourists, citizens and businesses. It is mandatory and unchanged at each level to wear personal protective equipment in public transport, closed public places and at public events, as well as observe the social distance of 1.5 meters. Clear rules and norms are defined by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 1236.

You can familiarize yourself with the restrictive measures of each level in the illustration, as well as on the main page of the site in the section "RULES FOR STAYING IN PUBLIC PLACES", where, in particular, there is an up-to-date list of regions in accordance with certain restrictions.

The "green" level assumes only one basic condition a mask mode. "Yellow" level additional requirements are established in the case of providing catering services and holding public events.

At the "orange" level, there are restrictions on the "yellow", at the same time, local authorities can independently impose additional restrictions.

"Red" level
the operation of accommodation and catering establishments, entertainment and cultural establishments is allowed only if 100% of the personnel have COVID certificates of a complete course of vaccination or recovery, or if there is a PCR or antigen test valid for no more than 72 hours.

How to avoid quarantine restrictions

For guests and visitors, restrictions will not apply if they have:
confirmation of at least one dose of vaccine (at the "red" level, only a full course) against COVID-19 – vaccination certificates, EU DCC, international certificates, "yellow" or "green" internal COVID certificates, certificates 063-О, should be used, or

proof of recovery from COVID-19, in the form of a COVID certificate in Diia or EU DCC, or an equivalent issued in a country connected to the EU trust network, or

• negative result of PCR test or rapid antigen test not older than 72 hours.

No restrictions other than the wearing of protective masks apply to children under the age of 18. Children under 6 years old can be in public places and transport without a mask.
