What documents can a child go abroad with: border crossing is simplified

Now it will be even easier to go abroad with children. The State Migration Service of Ukraine has agreed to simplify the procedure for issuing passports for children.
We will remind, that each child has an opportunity to cross the state border in both directions under one of the conditions:
- on the basis of a passport of the citizen of Ukraine for departure abroad, the validity period of which is prolonged;
- on the basis of the passport for traveling abroad of his/her parents or legal representatives, in which information about this child is entered.
Now parents or legal representatives of the child can use a new service developed by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine - the creation of an e-passport for a child under 14 years of age. This document, formed in Diia, will be enough to legally cross the border.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.
At the same time, the State Border Guard Service will continue to monitor the legality of border crossings. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 135 Ukrainian children have been denied entry by Ukrainian border guards. The reasons for this decision were the lack of parental authority, invalid documents, or their absence.
