March 8 continues to be perceived as a holiday in Ukraine. Despite changes in the social context, interest in surprises, flowers, and gifts remains consistently high. According to data from Google demand analysis conducted by experts at codes.com.ua, Ukrainians are much more actively searching for gift ideas than promotional offers or discounts.
We will tell you what people most often google before March 8, how the perception of the holiday has changed, and why emotions are more important than savings.

Flowers, cards, and sweets: timeless classics
Statistics confirm that traditional holiday attributes remain the undisputed leaders.
Greeting cards are unrivaled. Tulips are the most popular flowers. Candy and chocolate show steady seasonal growth.
Thus, the classic gift set — flowers, sweets, and a card — remains the most popular option.
However, Ukrainians are increasingly choosing gifts with meaning. For example, it is worth paying attention to merchandise from the Visit Ukraine portal — stylish clothing and accessories with Ukrainian themes: T-shirts, shoppers, hoodies. Such a gift combines practicality with values and is suitable for a friend, sister, or mother. By ordering merchandise on the Visit Ukraine website, you can give a gift that is not only beautiful but also symbolic.
Are Ukrainians looking for discounts before March 8?
Against the backdrop of active interest in gifts, requests for discounts seem modest. The difference is striking: less than 1,000 requests for discounts versus more than 60,000 for gifts. At the same time, requests for gifts show seasonal growth from 800% to 2500%.
Experts conclude that in the context of March 8, Ukrainians are more focused on the emotions and significance of the gift than on saving money.
We remind you! Choosing a gift for March 8 that will truly delight is not an easy task, because every woman has her own preferences and style. Universal candy sets have long ceased to surprise anyone, so it is worth approaching the choice with greater attention.
