Ukraine announced the reissue of all driver's licenses: what does it mean

All driver's licenses may be reissued in Ukraine. And drivers of transport companies may be obliged to regularly re-confirm their licenses, as it happens in the EU.
This idea was voiced by Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport and Infrastructure Yulia Klymenko at the event "Infrastructure Day 2022" at the European Business Association.
"Now we are working on the harmonization of road traffic legislation. In fact, all driver's licenses will be reissued", - Klymenko said.
She also noted that Ukrainian drivers working in transport companies will have to confirm the validity of their driver's license every 10-15 years, depending on the form in which the Verkhovna Rada will adopt the law.
It should be recalled that since July, new rules for obtaining a driver's license have been in force in Ukraine: future drivers must first pass a theoretical exam on traffic rules, and then proceed to the practical part of the training.
Earlier, we reported that from December 14 it will be possible to register a car or issue a driver's license in Ukraine without using plastic forms. According to the changes, in the near future it will not be mandatory to receive plastic forms of documents on the right to drive vehicles and on vehicle registration. More details at the link.
