Free roaming for Ukrainians abroad has been extended
Free roaming for Ukrainian refugees in Europe has been prolonged, according to the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Ukrainians, forced to flee the war to the EU countries, will be able to continue calling their relatives at the tariffs of their operators in Ukraine.
The previous agreements were in effect for three months, and from July the Ukrainians were supposed to switch to European tariffs. However, at the request of the European Commission, free roaming was extended. While the service is provided by 70 European operators, the Ukrainian initiative is supported by Vodafone, Kyivstar, and lifecell.
You don't need to do anything to activate roaming - the service is activated automatically and applies both to calls to Ukraine and vice versa.
To feel safe on any trip, we advise you to use travel insurance.
