RULES OF DEPARTURE AND RETURN TO UKRAINE
Departure of citizens of Ukraine abroad is possible with any available document confirming the person, including an "internal" passport, ID-card or documents in Diia.
Notice! You can travel to neighboring EU countries without a biometric passport only once.
During the period of martial law, departure of children under 16 years of age is possible accompanied by one of the parents without a notarized consent of the second parent, as well as accompanied by a grandmother, grandfather, adult brother or sister, stepmother, stepfather or other persons authorized by one of the parents in a written application, certified by the guardianship authority. The child needs to have a foreign passport or birth certificate (in the absence of a passport).
Children who have reached the age of 16 have the right to free independent travel outside Ukraine in accordance with Article 313 of the Civil Code of Ukraine.
Important! Due to the imposition of martial law in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the departure from Ukraine of a certain category of citizens – male citizens of Ukraine aged 18 to 60 years is limited (updated exceptions).

Citizens of Ukraine (and holders of a permanent residence permit) can freely return from any country in the world without the need to provide any "covid" documents.
You can return to Ukraine with any identity document or return certificate. However, it is necessary to take into account the requirements for transit through third countries when traveling home.

- Operating state border checkpoints:

- All checkpoints on the western border, except for those indicated, operate 24 hours a day.

- What is needed to cross the border?
- For crossing the border you need the minimum list of documents, identifying personality (foreign passport, Ukrainian passport, ID-card, birth certificate) and identity of your accompanying children. You will also need documents that can prove your relationship to minors who are unaccompanied by at least one parent, and other relatives.
- We remind you that Ukrainian men from 18 to 60 years old are not allowed to cross the border out of Ukraine (excluding the most of exceptions).
- When crossing the border by car:

- How can a man travel abroad during martial law?According to the Law of Ukraine "On the Legal Regime of Martial Law", men aged 18 to 60 cannot leave the territory of Ukraine. However, there are certain categories of men who are allowed to leave Ukraine:• men who are raising a child under the age of 18 on their own;• men who are dependent on three or more minor children;• men accompanying a child with a disability or a child with severe and rare diseases;• men who are removed from the military register on the basis of a decision of the military medical commission on their unfitness for military service;• men who travel to perform work duties;• men with disabilities;• servicemen who are traveling for treatment as a result of wounds sustained in the war.
- Can a man leave Ukraine to bring his children back from abroad?Men can leave Ukraine to bring their children back from abroad on the general terms and conditions for men subject to mobilization. That is, departure is limited.
- What should I do if my passport expires?While martial law is in effect in Ukraine, the validity of foreign passports has been extended for five years. That is, if you are abroad and your passport has already expired, you do not need to apply for a new one.In addition, you can add the data of children under the age of 16 to your passport. To extend the validity of your passport or insert a child's photo into it, you need to contact the State Migration Service or the nearest Ukrainian consular office if you are abroad.
- I am returning to Ukraine from abroad, do I need any COVID documents?Starting from February 24, 2022, Ukrainian citizens (and permanent residence permit holders) can freely return from any country in the world without the need to provide any "COVID" documents.
- Can I return to Ukraine with an internal passport/ID card?If you traveled abroad with an internal passport/ID card/other document or without any document at all, you can return to Ukraine. - How to return to Ukraine with pets?Currently, entry to Ukraine with pets is subject to a simplified procedure. Pet owners must provide the following documents to customs:• a veterinary passport of the European standard or a certificate of animal health;• proof of valid rabies vaccination;• a document on the animal's chipping.
- Can I enter Ukraine with my own car with foreign registration?Ukrainians have the right to import a car with foreign license plates for their own use after a written declaration and payment of customs duties. Citizens of Ukraine who are temporarily registered with consulates in other countries have the right to import a car with foreign license plates for their own use upon written declaration, but without paying customs duties. However, the period of stay of such a car on the territory of Ukraine should not exceed 60 days within one calendar year (continuously or intermittently).In order to cross the border in a car with foreign registration, the following documents are required• foreign passport;• driver's license;• certificate of registration for a car with valid insurance;• international automobile insurance card "Green Card".

However, due to the war, its availability has become optional. Many Ukrainian citizens are currently living in the EU on the basis of temporary protection status, which provides for free health insurance, which has its drawbacks. If you do not plan to obtain refugee status, it is highly recommended to purchase an insurance policy. This is a guarantee of your safety, peace of mind, and avoidance of unforeseen expenses.

- Who can buy insurance?The insurance is provided for foreigners (non-residents of Ukraine) and citizens of Ukraine, including adults and children, without age restrictions.
- At what age can I take out insurance?An insurance policy on our portal can be issued for any age, including children from birth and people aged 60+.
- What is the algorithm for seeking medical care if I have insurance?First of all, in the event of an insured event, call the insurance company as soon as possible. The company's contacts are always indicated on the insurance policy. It is your insurer who will be obliged to organize an ambulance call or outpatient medical care in a clinic abroad. If an emergency occurs when you are unable to contact the insurance company before hospitalization, you should keep all receipts and documents and contact the insurance company as soon as possible to reimburse the costs.
- Can I extend the term of the insurance policy if my plans have changed?Yes, you can extend your insurance policy either by buying new insurance online or by calling the company's customer service to renew it. In any case, always read your contract with the insurance company carefully. It contains all the details of the services you pay for.
- Do I need a Green Card to drive a car?Yes, from June 1, 2022, Green Card insurance is mandatory for everyone who travels abroad by car, including refugees.
- What does the Green Card cover?The principle of operation of the Green Card is similar to CTP insurance, only abroad. In the event of an accident, the culprit's Green Card insurance policy will cover the damage caused by his fault to other participants in the accident - the cost of treatment or repair of the victim's car.
- What should I do if I entered incorrect information when applying for an insurance policy?You can always contact the portal's hotline and we will make the necessary changes to the insurance policy free of charge and promptly.
- I can't pay for the insurance, what should I do?If your payment fails, we recommend contacting your bank, as they often do not trust payment systems. You need to confirm that it is you who is making the transaction.
- I have taken out insurance, but I have not received a code. What should I do?In this case, we advise you to reload the page, clear the cache, change the language on the page, or use a different browser.
- What should I do if the policy does not arrive at the specified mail for more than 30 minutes?Please contact the hotline and provide the data that was specified when applying for insurance.
- Do I need to print out the electronic policy?You do not need to print out the electronic insurance policy. It is enough to save it to your phone or tablet to always have access to the document and present it to border control representatives.
- What should I do if I have purchased a policy but my trip is canceled?Please inform the portal hotline about the reasons for the trip cancellation and we will be happy to reschedule the dates for you.
RULES FOR STAYING IN HOTELS
The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.
Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.
Meals in hotels are provided through meals delivery service to rooms upon prior order or at hotel restaurants situated inside or in open areas, provided the distance of at least 1.5 meters between seats at adjacent tables.
Not more than 4 clients are allowed to stay at the table (excluding children under 14 years old). Unless these tables are separated by a special partition;
Self-serve is not allowed.
