Key landmarks

1

Kamianka - a waterfall

The Kamianka Waterfall is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the Ukrainian Carpathians, located in the narrow valley of the Kamianka River, which winds between the high mountains of the Skoliv Beskydy National Nature Park. Kamensky Waterfall has a height of 7 meters and consists of one cascade, which is divided by a rock ledge into two wide streams. Due to its easy accessibility, photogenic nature, picturesque nature and large souvenir market, it is visited by hundreds of thousands of people in all seasons of the year.

2

Kamianka - Lake Zhuravlyne

Not far from the Kamianetskoy waterfall, in the middle of the protected massif of the Skolivskyi Beskids, there is a natural wonder - the Dead or Crane Lake. A short stone path leads to it under the canopy of dense spruce and fir trees, which leads to a wooden observation bridge. Many valuable and rare plants grow around this mountain lake, including the cranberry, which gave one of its names. Because of the poor flora and fauna and the dark shade of the clear water, it is also called the Dead Lake. The reservoir is about 50 meters long, in the middle of which there is a slowly growing floating island. Hurry up to see this beauty, because the lake is slowly turning into an upper moss swamp.

3

Urych

State historical and cultural reserve "Tustan" is one of the most beautiful and picturesque places in Ukraine. This is a ridge of sandstone rocks in the form of rocks in the middle of the Carpathians, which were formed 25 million years ago and created a picturesque complex of exotic forms and creations. The "Tustan" fortress, which was built by our ancestors on the rocks, was an important strategic point and was part of the unified system of the Carpathian line of defense of the southwestern borders of Kievan Rus, and then the Russian kingdom. In the IX-XIII centuries. on the rocks there was a defense complex, a customs house and a fortress city, the central part of the fortifications occupied three hectares. You can learn more about this place in the modern Tustani multimedia museum, where you can see the most interesting finds discovered during archaeological excavations. Not only in Ukraine, but also in all of Europe, there are no preserved wooden fortresses of the 10th-13th centuries, which puts the Tustan fortress among the unique monuments of ancient Russian architecture of the pre-Mongol period.

4

Boryslav

Resort "Bukovitsa". In order to better de-ice the Carpathians and Pidhyrya, we invite you to climb the Bukovytsia mountain (564 m) with a modern chair lift. In just six minutes on a four-seater lift, you can see the true beauty of the Carpathian Mountains, beautiful panoramas of the Oriv Beskids, Truskavets, Boryslav, Drohobych and, in good weather, even Lviv. The observation deck has an area with a foot court, where you can have a snack and drink coffee or Carpathian tea.

5

Truskavets

In the past, it was a large salt-making center, and now it is a city-park, a unique and oldest balneological resort in Europe, located in a picturesque, ecologically clean area near the Carpathians. Truskavets is world-famous for its healing mineral water "Naftusya", which can be tasted in the central mineral water pump. We invite you to take a walk through the central part of the city, where you can admire the wonderful wooden villas built in the Zakopane style (XIX-XX centuries).
