New Year on a farmstead near Dykanka

Day 1

9:30 a.m. - departure from Dnipro from the railway station by bus. Arrival in Poltava, accommodation in the "Tourist" hotel. Dinner. New Year's tour of Poltava: visiting the manor-museum of the outstanding writer Ivan Kotlyarevskyi, which was recreated based on a drawing by Taras Shevchenko, made from nature back in 1845. The writer spent most of his life here, most of his works were created in Poltava, in particular, the famous "Aeneid". Further, the route passes through the famous monument to the Poltava galushka, which Mykola Gogol and Ivan Kotlyarevskyi mentioned in their works, through the snow-white Holy Assumption Cathedral with a bell tower, a restored wooden watchtower and one of the main attractions of the city - a white gazebo, installed on the edge of Ivanovo Hora. A stunning view of the city and the Khrestovozdvizhenskyi Monastery opens from here. The final part of the excursion will be a walk near the central Christmas tree. This year, guests and residents of Poltava will be in for a special surprise - a shiny tent will be spread over the Christmas tree, and beautiful illumination will shine around. After taking a few colorful photos and making a wish, you can visit the Poltava candy store and buy souvenir sweets for friends and loved ones. After the walk, you will have free time at the hotel to have a good rest and prepare for the New Year celebration. 9:30 p.m. - boarding the bus, leaving for a farm near Dikanka New Year's Eve at a real farm near Dykanka! (22.00 - 3.00) The guests will be welcomed by Mr. Holova and his Solokh, seated at the festive table and fed with the same rustic dumplings that jump into their mouths. The show program includes fun contests and games, New Year's songs and dances, bonfires... A charismatic toastmaster will create a festive mood. On this evening, Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden will visit, and in addition to the main culprits of the holiday, the farm will be visited by the blacksmith Vakula, the Cossack Pron and other characters from the famous works of Mykola Gogol. Such an authentic holiday will definitely be remembered for a long time!

Day 2

The next morning, tour participants will have a late breakfast, after which the holiday will continue. A warm bus will take you to the center of Ukrainian pottery - the village of Opishnia. The National Museum-Reserve of Ukrainian Pottery will tell a lot of humorous stories from local potters and invite everyone to make a clay jug with their own hands. After the tour, everyone will receive their New Year's gift. But that's not all! New Year's parties in Poltava are waiting ahead in the Cossack estate - a colorful Ukrainian farm, also not far from Dykanka. Here they will meet with bread and salt and spin in fun games and fun. After an interesting walk around the farm, the guests will be served a hearty lunch with bread, lard, dumplings, dumplings, uzvar and flatbread. Anyone who wishes can take part in a master class on fiery Ukrainian dances with Gogol's heroes and Cossacks. We board the bus and return home.
