A characteristic feature of Transcarpathian cuisine is that the dishes are very hearty, and the portions are always large! At the same time, many seasonings are used, and the serving itself is very colorful. Transcarpathian cuisine is a wide variety of dishes and inexhaustible imagination in their preparation. You will visit: Panoramas of the Carpathians, tastings of food, wines and cheeses, thermal waters, fun in a unique village with ten museums.

Cost of entrance tickets:

- thermal pool "Zolota Gora" (2 hours): general entrance ticket is 250 UAH, and  125 UAH for children up to 150 cm tall, children up to 110 cm tall are free of charge.

– wine tasting at Leanka winery costs 150 UAH, tour without wine consumption costs 80 UAH;

– tasting of buffalo and sheep cheese varieties costs 75 UAH;

– Ethnographic museum open-air museum "Stare selo" and Museum of railway history "Kolochavska narrow-gauge", branch of the forest and alloy museum "Kolochavsky Bokorash": general entrance ticket is 90 UAH/person, pensioners', students' ticket is 60 UAH/person, and 45 UAH/person for schoolchildren;

– refreshments, entertainment with music and scenes from the lives of the highlanders in the Kolochava inn: (the menu includes: lard, cheese, garlic, cucumber, bread, and fun Carpathian water) cost 100 UAH/adult and 45 UAH/child.


Food:

Breakfast on the 1st day - you can have breakfast at home or take canapés with you to have a snack during the stops.

Lunch on the 1st day takes place in the "Pidkova" inn in Perechyn in the form of a tasting lunch, during which you will taste the most interesting Transcarpathian dishes. The proposed menu:

- shovdar (smoked pork bone),

– poprigashka (three types of lard), kerezet (cheese spread),

– picnic (homemade sausage),

- pickled vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, cabbage),

– seasoned beans (bean soup topped with sour cream),

– banosh, mushroom dumplings (potato dumplings with gravy),

– potatoes baked on fire (baked potatoes),

– roasted beans (fried beans),

– homemade fresh meat, gurka (sausage with stuffing),

– palachinta with lekvar (pancake with jam),

– slyvovitsa (fun Transcarpathian water), bread, brew.

The price is 195 UAH/person.


Dinner on the 1st day is in the estates after settling in and consists of dishes of Hungarian national cuisine: chicken broth with chiga, torgonya with gravy, Hungarian sweets and wine. The cost is 100 UAH/person.

Breakfast on the 2nd day will be in the estates, the proposed menu: sausage, cheese, langosh with jam (similar to fritters), butter, bread, coffee/tea. The cost is 60 UAH/person.

Lunch on the 2nd day takes place in a cafe in the village of Kolochava and consists of local dishes: porcini mushroom soup, potato puree with arugula, cucumber and tomato salad, herbal tea, and bread. The cost is 110 UAH/person.

Accommodation: takes place in cosy farmsteads of rural tourism in the Beregovsky district with private facilities, rooms: 2 and 3-bed.

Yzhok

A well-known balneological resort in the past, located on the border of three countries near the picturesque Carpathian pass, is now known throughout the world for the masterpiece of Boyko sacred architecture - the church of St. Mykhailo (1745). It is one of the most outstanding wooden churches in Ukraine and it is included in the UNESCO world heritage list. Nearby, you can taste delicious mineral water with high iron content.

Barvinok

Near Uzhhorod, surrounded by the Carpathians, thermal waters rise from the very heart of the earth and bring health and joy to the guests of the Golden Mountain recreation complex. Four modern thermal pools with water temperatures of 29 and 39 degrees indoors and outdoors await you. The water is extremely beneficial and its composition is similar to the thermal waters of the best resorts in France, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Serednye

The town is famous for the ruins of Dobo Castle (16th century) and is the oldest and largest wine-making centre in Transcarpathia, local wines have a wonderful bouquet and taste thanks to the many minerals of the local volcanic soil. They are aged in unique wine cellars (XVI century), which have ideal natural conditions for ageing wines. Srednyany wines were once served on the tables of European monarchs, you will definitely like them too.

Vinohradiv

The Carpathian buffalo farm is located near Chorna Hora, where local enthusiasts are trying to save the northernmost buffalo population in the world. Currently, there are more than 30 Carpathian buffaloes on the farm, which you can observe, as well as taste and buy different varieties of buffalo and sheep cheese.

Mizhhirya

A picturesque Carpathian town, not far from which is Mount Makovytsia (750 m), you can climb it on a chair lift. From the top of the mountain, there are wonderful panoramas of the Carpathian ridges of Borzhava and Gorgan, as well as the picturesque meanders of the Rika River.

Kolochava

One of the most beautiful villages in Transcarpathia, which is home to 10 museums, 20 monuments, and 50 historical places of interest, the most famous of which is the "Stare Selo" museum of folk architecture and daily life, the "Kolochavska narrow gauge" railway museum, and the "Kolochavsky Bokorash" museum. All guests are cordially invited to the "U Wolfa" inn, where you can have a treat and see scenes from the life of the highlanders.

Soimy

The picturesque Carpathian village is famous for its unique source of mineral water "Soimivska", which has the highest calcium content among all mineral waters of Ukraine and has no analogues in the world.
