Monobank will appear in Poland: how it will help Ukrainians living in the country
Remittances from Poland to Ukraine are one of the largest channels of currency inflow into the Ukrainian economy. Monobank has decided to help the country and our citizens facilitate the transfer of funds to the Motherland and is launching the Stereo by Mono project on the territory of Poland. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the majority of Ukrainians decided to leave for Poland. Today, about 3 million citizens of Ukraine live in this country. In this connection, Ukrainian Monobank decided to enter the Polish market with the Stereo by Mono project.
According to the co-founder of the bank Oleg Horohovskyi, the new project is designed mainly for Ukrainians, but it will also be available for Poles.
What will change in the work of the bank after opening in Poland?
The company promises to provide clients with the following services:
• communication in Ukrainian;
• remote registration through "Diia";
• round-the-clock support in messengers;
• convenient transfers between cards;
• direct convenient payment for various services in Poland and Ukraine (mobile phone, parking, etc.)
• free translations to Ukraine.

How and where to register for access to Stereo by Mono?
In order to gain access, you must have a PESEL (record number in the Polish population registration system).
You can apply for access to the bank here. The company is now offering customers to try the beta version. At the same time, the release of the project is planned for this quarter, that is, until the end of March.
How much money do Ukrainians transfer from Poland to the Motherland?
According to the NBU, almost 6.5 billion dollars were transferred to Ukraine from Poland in the first half of 2022 alone. A year earlier, Ukrainians from Poland transferred 4.3 billion dollars to the Motherland.
We will remind you! According to the Special Law on Assistance to Ukrainian Citizens in Poland, it is not yet mandatory to obtain a PESEL UKR number. However, updated rules for the stay of Ukrainians will soon enter into force. Read more about them in our material.
