Rescue center for Ukrainians in the Czech Republic: what is known
It is noted that the center will first be opened in Prague as a pilot project outside of Ukraine.
The Refugee Assistance Center will provide comprehensive social and psychological support for people who were forced to leave the war zone or occupied territories.
"We are grateful to the Czech Republic for their strong support of Ukrainians temporarily staying on their territory. Among them are those who have experienced the consequences of the occupation. Often they do not talk about their terrible experiences, but they are in vital need of professional help. By establishing the Rescue Assistance Centers abroad, we guarantee that each person will receive the necessary assistance," said Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna.
It is emphasized that the Center will create a safe space for Ukrainians to talk about their injuries and receive help in their native language.

In difficult cases, such as sexual violence, the center's specialists will help victims in the process of long-term recovery.
The Ukrainian government plans to use this center as a pilot project to provide support abroad. Such institutions are already successfully operating in the country.
The opening of the assistance center in the Czech Republic will be an important step in providing the necessary assistance to Ukrainians who have experienced the terrible events of the full-scale invasion. It underscores Ukraine's readiness to help its citizens and provide them with proper conditions for recovery and social support abroad, which is an important element of the recovery and strengthening process.
We remind you! Ukrainians with temporary protection status in the Czech Republic have been able to purchase public transport tickets at a reduced price. But soon the sale of discounted tickets will be suspended. Find out more about how much public transportation will cost for Ukrainians in Prague here.
