Financial assistance to Ukrainians: a new program for vulnerable categories of the population has been launched
Inhaltsübersicht
With the support of the Estonian Refugee Council, the International Rescue Committee, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA), and the World Food Program, the Zaporizhia Charitable Fund "Unity for the Future" introduced the provision of financial aid to the most vulnerable categories of citizens who suffered during the war.
Who can get help?
The decision to provide financial assistance is made individually in each case. In the first stage, the applicant must call the contact center and provide the consultant with the necessary information on the basis of which the employee will conduct a vulnerability assessment and make a decision on the allocation of financial assistance.
The fund's employees take into account various life circumstances, including:
• loss of a breadwinner in the family;
• loss of housing or its significant destruction as a result of hostilities;
• serious health condition, disability;
• single mother or father with minor children;
• low-income families with minor children, newborns, as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women;
• elderly.
In which regions of Ukraine does the program work?
Currently, residents of 15 regions of Ukraine can apply for help: Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Cherkasy and Kirovohrad oblasts.
Amount of financial aid
The amount of assistance is UAH 2,220 per person for a period of 1 to 3 months (depending on the applicant's area of residence). Up to 5 family members can receive assistance. The payment will be transferred to the bank account indicated by the applicant.
How to apply?
The application procedure is divided into 3 major stages:
In the 1st stage, the applicant must contact the help center at a single number: 067-105-28-03. The contact center is open every day from 09:00 to 19:00. The number of calls per day reaches 300,000, so there may be delays on the line. If the applicant lives in the occupied territory, the request can be sent by filling out the form.
During the conversation, the consultant will assess the level of vulnerability after receiving answers to the questions. Also, during the conversation, the employee must be informed of the TIN of the applicant. The information provided remains confidential. It is from the consultant that you can get permission to fill out the application at the 2nd stage.
Step 2 – fill out the online form.
Stage 3 – the decision on receiving payment and waiting for payment. Application processing time is 5-10 days. After confirmation, the payment will reach the bank account within 14 days. You can follow the status of the application by following the link.
It is worth noting that if the applicant is already receiving assistance from international organizations, he/she will be denied financial assistance from the "Unity for the Future".
In the future, it is also possible to expand the number of assistance regions and the list of vulnerable categories of the population, in turn, the requirements for applicants may be reduced.
