New grant for Ukrainian children in the Czech Republic: what is known
As part of the Giving Circles to Children project, the Czech Council for Children and Youth is launching a new grant to help Ukrainian children who had to move to the Czech Republic because of the war in their homeland.
The grant is aimed at supporting the organisation of holidays, active leisure and outdoor schools. The amount of assistance is expected to be CZK 1,000. This assistance is intended to cover the costs of summer, day and sports camps for children, outdoor schools and various excursions.
Who can receive a grant?
Families of Ukrainian refugees with children aged 3 to 18 years who are currently residing in the Czech Republic on the basis of a residence permit or a residence permit for children.
Please note that you can apply for the grant until 15 May 2023.
How do I apply for the grant?
- Register as an applicant on the Active City platform;
- Choose courses that are available in your region;
- Check the availability of places on the selected course and discuss the child's admission;
- Submit a request on the platform;
- Attach the necessary documents and select the organisation to which you want to transfer the funds.

The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.
Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.
Meals in hotels are provided through meals delivery service to rooms upon prior order or at hotel restaurants situated inside or in open areas, provided the distance of at least 1.5 meters between seats at adjacent tables.
Not more than 4 clients are allowed to stay at the table (excluding children under 14 years old). Unless these tables are separated by a special partition;
Self-serve is not allowed.
