Financial aid for Ukrainians in Poland: new programmes 2023

Ukrainian refugees in Poland will be able to receive financial assistance under 2 new programmes. Find out more about who is eligible and the amount of the benefits

The Polish International Aid Centre has launched 2 new programmes aimed at providing financial assistance to Ukrainian refugees. Read more about who can receive assistance and what amounts are planned to be paid in the article.


New programmes for Ukrainian refugees: details 


It is noted that Ukrainian refugees currently residing in Warsaw, Lublin, Bydgoszcz, Białystok, Toruń, Szczecin and nearby cities will be able to receive new financial assistance. 


•‎ The first programme will cover Ukrainian refugees who arrived in Poland after 24 February 2022. The assistance will be available to 


- those who are not currently receiving any assistance from Polish organisations;

- those who do not receive assistance from the Polish state. The exception is the 500+ programme and other state assistance programmes, which provide for payments of up to PLN 200 per month;

- those belonging to certain categories: pensioners, persons with disabilities, single parents and guardians, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, as well as people in need of urgent medical care or treatment. 


This assistance programme provides for payments of PLN 1,000 for 6 months.

•‎ The second programme is aimed at helping refugees who arrived in Poland after 15 February 2023. Financial assistance will be available to those who


- have a PESEL with the UKR mark;

- do not receive any 3-monthly cash payments from international organisations in Poland; 

- belong to certain categories: pensioners, persons with disabilities, single parents and guardians, pregnant women and nursing mothers, as well as people in need of urgent medical care or treatment. 


This programme provides payments for each person in the family (up to 4 people). The person applying for the benefit will receive PLN 710 per month. Other family members will receive PLN 610. 


To take part in the programme, refugees need to fill out a registration form. You can also apply for assistance by phone by filling in the feedback form
