Applications for 300 zlotys are coming to an end in Poland: how to apply for Dobry start assistance

The deadline for applying for the "300+" program in Poland is approaching.
We will tell you how to apply for assistance in time and why it is important for Ukrainian refugees.
There will be no more 300+ one-time payments in Poland: what is known
As you know, the "Dobry start" program is a payment of 300 zlotys, which is received once a year by parents of schoolchildren to purchase school supplies and prepare for the new school year.
The Dobry Start initiative was launched by the Polish government in 2019. According to the program, families receive an allowance of PLN 300 for each child (up to 20 years old) enrolled in primary, secondary, or higher education.

How to apply for the Dobry start program?
Parents of Ukrainian children studying in Polish schools can apply for the Dobry Start program until November 30.
Applications can be submitted online through the Emp@tia portal or via e-banking or the PUE ZUS portal.
An application for assistance can be submitted by:
• parents of the child;
• mother
• legal guardian;
• a de facto guardian who has received permission from a Polish court and is taking care of the child.
The application process through the PUE ZUS portal includes several steps:
1. Go to the PUE ZUS website;
2. Click on the "General" tab;
3. Select "Dobry start" and click "Create a new program";
4. Specify your role - parent, legal guardian, etc;
5. Indicate for whom you are applying for assistance;
6. Select the school year of the child/children;
7. Enter your personal data;
8. Add your bank account number to receive the assistance;
9. Enter the children's data and information about the place of study;
10. Attach documents, in particular the child's birth certificate and a certificate confirming legal residence in Poland;
11. Sign the application using a trusted profile.
It is important to note that the payment of the allowance will be made in a non-cash form to the bank account specified in the application.
Parents will receive the funds no later than 2 months after submitting the application.
