But you can’t keep your psyche in this state for a long time: the consequences for it can be catastrophic. You need to gradually return to life, be interested in something and look for pleasant emotions everywhere. Taking into account the advice of psychologists, VisitUkraine tried to find a whole bunch of various free entertainment for those who are now in Sweden, namely, in its capital, Stockholm.

Scandinavian culture is bright and original. The history of these lands is extremely turbulent. Of course, you want to immerse yourself in this as much as possible. Despite the not at all cheap life in Sweden, this can often be done quite painlessly for the budget.

Medieval Stockholm Museum (Strömparrterren 3 Norrbro). The exposition is quite unconventional in its format, as it is a complete reconstruction of the streets of the city of the Middle Ages. Museum of Swedish History (13-17 Narvavaegen). From the beginning to today - the whole history of this country will stand before you in all its details. Pay attention to the exceptionally rich exhibition of gold jewelry. Here are not only the usual physical exhibits, but also holograms, various interactive installations. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 12:00 to 17:00.

Museum of the Mediterranean (Fredsgatan 2 Gustav Adolfs Torg). A story about the ancient period of the history of Egypt and Cyprus. Collections of coins, dishes, clothes, jewelry, there are even Egyptian mummies in the basement. You can enter for free on Tue-Fri (11:00 - 20:00), Sat-Sun (11:00 - 17:00).

Army Museum (Riddargatan 13). The military history of Sweden is quite victorious and stormy. The exposition of the museum covers the 16th - 20th centuries, and consists of uniforms, equipment, weapons and dioramas with wax figures. You can usually enter without tickets, but note to yourself that sometimes interesting exhibitions are held here, but they are not free. Open: Tue-Sun, 11:00 – 17:00.

Nationalmuseum (Södra Blasieholmshamnen 2). An art museum where you will see not only paintings and sculptures, but also designer furniture, porcelain products. Open: Tue-Sun, 11:00 - 17:00.

Bonniers Konsthall (19 Torsgatan). Exhibition of modern art. You can drop in on Wednesday from 12:00 to 20:00, and from Thursday to Sunday - from 12:00 to 17:00.

Parks

Kungstradgarden Park (Jussi Björlings Allé 5). In the very center lies the most popular park in Stockholm. Don't miss the cherry blossoms in spring! And so it is very green and good, there are statues of Swedish kings and fountains.

Berzelii Park (Nybroplan 2). This park appeared around the monument to Berzelius, an outstanding Swedish chemist. It is small, but very cozy, you can walk to the embankment or look into the Chinese theater.

Ralambshovparken (Kungsholmen). This park is located on the shore of the lake - away from the noisy center, and it is he who is considered the most favorite among the locals. There is a good beach, sports grounds and benches in the alleys.

Observation Decks

Ralambshovparken (Kungsholmen). This site occupied the highest point of the city - the views from it are simply amazing. This is the Östermalm district, and from it you can see not only the city, but also the sea. We strongly advise you to somehow get here in the evening to enjoy the sunset.

Mariaberget (Monteliusvagen). A whole complex of playgrounds, equipped along the road to Skinnarviksberget.

Fjallgatan (Fjallgatan). This is not a special platform - just a street, and very picturesque in itself, by the way, which descends along the edge of the cliff at a dizzying height. It is not difficult to guess that the views from here (Djurgården and the Old Town) are simply stunning!

Ivar Los (Bastugatan 26). This is a square, but it is convenient to admire the northern coast of Södermalm from it. There is a playground here, and green meadows have long been chosen by locals as a convenient place for a picnic.

Other Attractions in Stockholm

Changing of the guard at the Royal Palace (Slottsbacken 1). From April 23 to August 31, near the palace of the Swedish kings, you can watch a very magnificent ceremony of changing the guard with an orchestra every day. The event is at 12:15 on weekdays, and at 13:15 on weekends.

Stortorget (Gamla Stan). In fact, the oldest place in Stockholm. This square can be found in the very center of the historical part of the city. By the way, when you are here, be sure to look into the Nobel Museum - it seems that it is not worth reminding what kind of person this is? There are also many nice cafes and restaurants, shops around.

City Library (Odengatan 63). This library is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world.

Sodermalm. Local Mini-Venice with canals and ancient architecture, very picturesque views. The restaurants and pubs here are something special!

Parliament (Sveriges riksdag). As you inspect the Royal Palace, do not miss the Parliament building in any case - it is directly adjacent to it. The Swedish Parliament is surrounded by wonderful gardens, and by the way, you can get inside on a free tour! When you get there, be sure to look out of the windows - panoramic views of the center.

S:ta Clara kyrka (Klarabergsgatan 37). A very atmospheric church, and the painting of its walls is a real treasure for a person who understands art. In the evening you can get to the organ concert.

Brunkeberg Tunnel (Brunkebergstunneln). You can walk along this pedestrian tunnel from Östermalm to Norrmalm - 231 meters of sheer claustrophobia! Open 6:00 – 22:00.
