Online registration for the extension of temporary protection of persons from Ukraine has begun in the Czech Republic. The initiative will be active until March 15, proukrainu.blesk.cz reports.

It is noted that after making an appointment at the Ministry of Internal Affairs office, the status will be valid until September 30, 2024.

How to extend temporary protection in the Czech Republic?

In order to successfully register online for the extension of temporary protection until 2025, participants must provide their email address and a number of required documents. These include full name, passport and first temporary protection visa number, as well as the address of residence in the Czech Republic.

If you are registering a child under the age of 15, you must provide information about the child's school or kindergarten.

In addition, a document confirming the relationship between the adult and the child must be submitted. Such documents can be a birth certificate, a notarized power of attorney from the child's parents, or an affidavit obtained from the office of the Social and Legal Protection of Children (OSPOD). Later, the original or a certified copy of the document may be requested. You may also be asked to provide an ordinary copy of a birth certificate or a decision of an official body.

Refugees over the age of 15 can carry out the registration procedure on their own.

An important stage of online registration is to fill out a short questionnaire to understand the needs of refugees and improve the quality of services. After successful registration, participants will receive a confirmation email.

It is also important to note that persons with limited mobility who are in special care facilities can register for protection online. If a person is unable to visit an MIA office, they can provide a medical certificate or other document confirming this need.

Employees of the institution can obtain a visa sticker on the basis of a power of attorney and can be contacted for advice by calling +420 974 801 802.
