Strikes in Europe are causing instability in public transportation and other industries. In particular, a large number of strikes are scheduled for February in various EU countries, which can significantly complicate the lives of residents and tourists. Strikes have been a frequent phenomenon in European countries lately, as workers demand higher wages and better working conditions. These actions can be planned in advance or announced at the last minute, Euronews reports.

Strikes continue in Europe: new dates in February 2024
United Kingdom
In the UK, rail workers are planning strikes throughout the month at various companies, including Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, East Midlands Railway, West Midlands Trains, GTR, LNER, Southeastern, SWR, and TransPennine Trains.
On February 19-20, a strike is planned in the London Underground, and if the government does not respond to the demands, workers will go on strike again on March 4-5.

Germany
In Germany, a large-scale strike by Lufthansa ground staff scheduled for February 7 may cause disruptions at airports in Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg, Berlin and Dusseldorf.
France
In France, transportation problems are also expected due to strikes. The CGT-RATP trade union warns of possible disruptions in the bus and subway networks. Employees' demands remain unfulfilled.
