New access rules are temporarily introduced at Chisinau airport. It is reported by NewsMaker.

It is noted that the relevant restrictions will be in effect from May 1 to 16.

Airport access rules are being changed in Chisinau: what is known

“From May 1, we are changing the rules of access to Chisinau airport. Only citizens with boarding passes will be able to enter the building. Everyone else, including those meeting them, will have to wait outside the airport. This measure was introduced to ensure security and avoid various unpleasant situations that may arise at the airport,” the publication quotes the head of the Border Police Ruslan Galushko as saying.

It is emphasized that only passengers, staff and crew members will be allowed into the airport terminal area.

“Passengers will be allowed to enter the airport only if they have a ticket and an identity document, which will be checked by the security service. After that, the passenger will go through check-in, security checks, documentary control and customs inspection. After that, they will be able to wait for boarding in the departure area,” the statement said.

Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport three hours before departure in order to have time to go through all the necessary procedures.

It is emphasized that travelers were warned about the revision of border control and passenger check-in procedures at Chisinau airport on April 25.

As you know, over the past week, the frequency of reports of bomb threats at airports and airplanes has increased significantly, but in all cases, the information about bombs was false.
