The low-cost Hungarian airline Wizz Air has introduced a new Smart fare. Now the low-cost airline's lineup includes four fares for passengers. Learn more about the details of the new Wizz Smart fare
Low-cost airline Wizz Air has introduced a new fare, Wizz Smart, which has become the airline's most budget-friendly fare. According to the current rules, you can only carry small hand luggage up to 40x30x20 cm in size and weighing up to 10 kg.
Earlier we told you in which European countries and on which dates transportation disruptions are possible.
Features of the new Wizz Smart fare
The main difference between Wizz Smart and the basic fare is that in addition to small hand luggage, you can also take a suitcase on wheels or other luggage up to 55x40x23 cm in size and weighing up to 10 kg. The fare also includes priority boarding, free choice of a standard seat, and check-in 20 days before departure.
This fare will be cheaper than purchasing additional options to the Basic fare.
Company representatives emphasize that Wizz Air uses dynamic pricing for its services. Therefore, before purchasing tickets, it is better to check whether it would be better to purchase the necessary services to the basic fare.

Currently, Wizz Air additionally sells tickets at such fares:
1. Wizz Go: small hand luggage only, choice of a standard seat, and luggage up to 20 kg. Until recently, this fare included a wider range of services: large hand luggage, priority check-in and free airport check-in;
2. Wizz Plus: the most expensive fare of the airline, it includes large and small hand luggage, 32 kg of baggage, choice of any seat at no extra charge, free check-in at the airport, no flight change fee, and the ability to return the ticket with a credit to the Wizz account.
It is worth noting that Wizz Air has been recognized as the worst European airline for the second year in a row. The most common reasons for customer complaints are long flight delays and poor service quality. According to the UK Civil Aviation Authority, in 2023, only 63% of Wizz Air flights were completed on time. And 2% of flights were more than 3 hours late.
