Starting May 11, 2024, carriers carrying out passenger transportation through checkpoints on the border of Ukraine and Romania will be able to choose the time of border crossing. The launch of an electronic queue for buses on this section of the state border was announced by the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure.

Checkpoints on the border with Romania, where the e-queue works

It is noted that the service of online registration for a specific time for fast border crossing has been launched at four checkpoints with Romania, namely:

– Dyakove - Halmeu,

– Krasnoilsk - Vicova de Sus,

– Dyakivtsi - Rakovets,

– Orlivka - Isaccea.

How to register in the eQueue?

To register for the new type of queue, you need to select the desired checkpoint and choose the service called "Scheduled".

In this case, crossing the border by appointment is available for both regular and irregular bus routes. So now bus passengers will be able to cross the border much faster and not wait in lines for several hours.

"Currently, buses will cross the border on time at 15 checkpoints out of 29. This means that passengers will no longer spend hours waiting in front of the checkpoint. This is one of the tasks of the reform of international bus transportation carried out by the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure, so that passengers can receive really high-quality services as a result," emphasized Kubrakov.

The agency also reminded that the possibility of crossing the border by appointment is also available at other checkpoints. In particular, starting from April 25, it is possible to choose the time of crossing the border at 10 checkpoints with Moldova. In addition, there are no queues at the Yahodyn-Dorohusk border crossing point with Poland.

Remember! To leave Ukraine by car with Ukrainian registration, drivers are required to have an international insurance policy "Green Card". This document is mandatory, so without valid insurance, the driver will not be allowed to cross the border. You can apply for a Green Card quickly and easily on the Visit Ukraine portal. Follow the link and take out an insurance policy for the required period in just a couple of minutes. The finished insurance will be sent to your email immediately.

We remind you! Today, the Orlivka - Isakcha ferry crossing is the shortest route from Ukraine to Southern Europe and Turkey. Read more about the ferry schedule, border crossing rules and the time required for the crossing in our previous article.
