Suspension of payments when leaving Poland: details
The announcement of a new system of verification of foreign nationals receiving benefits in Poland took place during the parliamentary discussion of draft amendments to the law on assistance to refugees from Ukraine in connection with the armed conflict and some other laws.
"Due to the fact that the law is temporary - until the end of September 2025, we can very quickly set up an IT system that will check the stay in Poland according to the ZUS system," Duszczyk said, adding that they have already invented this algorithm and plan to implement it in the coming months "to meet the challenge of all foreigners receiving benefits in Poland."
As explained by the official, the introduction of a comprehensive system will allow for the immediate suspension of benefits for any foreigner when such a person leaves Poland.
It should be noted that the government sees this as a significant saving for the country, as there are a lot of such people.
