What is the essence of the Ukrainian Bookshelves project?

The project is not just for reading. The books are in the context of the Ukrainian struggle for freedom and the preservation of cultural identity, memory, and history.

"Books are also waging a liberation struggle against Russian invaders, telling the truth about Ukraine, our culture, and history," said First Lady Olena Zelenska, the leader of the initiative.
