Ukrainians have become less interested in the news and are using social networks less. This is evidenced by the rating of popular websites by Kantar.

The outlet published the May list of the top 25 websites among Ukrainian users. Compared to March 2022, in May, all Ukrainian news resources lost coverage and did not rise above the 11th step in the top. The job search sites and online stores returned to the rating. The restoration of distance learning made learning resources top to the list too.

Interestingly, the Ukrposhta website doubled its reach, moving up 74 lines in the rating compared to March. Experts suggest that the interest of the audience is connected with the successful issuance of patriotic stamps at the beginning of the war.

Google, YouTube, Wikipedia, and Facebook topped the May rating.

According to analyst Iryna Voron, head of the Kantar CMeter project, such indicators mean that Ukrainians are adapting to the war and returning to their usual online activity.

“After an abnormal jump in March, when Ukrainians did not understand what would happen in the next few hours, now interest in the news has decreased. The use of Telegram, which is also perceived by the population as a source of news, has somewhat stabilized. Now Ukrainians are gradually returning to their usual activity on the Internet,” Iryna said.
