Free evacuation flight for Ukrainians to Canada

Help our volunteers who support Ukraine and all foreigners in the country 24/7

The Canadian government continues to support Ukraine and its citizens. Together with the Open Arms, Solidaire and Fundación Integralia DKV charitable foundations, the organization of special humanitarian flights for the evacuation of Ukrainian refugees continues. To date, 1,800 Ukrainians have taken advantage of the offer and evacuated to Canada.

Open Arms is the main point of contact for Ukrainians planning to fly to Saskatchewan. The charter flight is free of charge.

When will the next humanitarian flight take place?

The next charter flight will take place on July 4 in the direction of Warsaw (Poland) - Regina (the capital of the province of Saskatchewan).

Who is entitled to the humanitarian flight?

In order to use a humanitarian flight to Canada, you need to be a citizen of Ukraine or a family member of a citizen of Ukraine.

Family members include:

- husband or wife of a citizen of Ukraine (including civil marriage)

- their common dependent child

- a dependent child of a spouse of a citizen of Ukraine

- a dependent child of a child of the couple (for example, grandchildren or a child under guardianship)

Necessary documents for the flight:

1 Valid passport

2. Approved CUAET VISA

3. Document of full vaccination against COVID-19 or a valid test for COVID-19 taken before travel

Important information

Travel information must be uploaded and completed in ArriveCan 72 hours prior to arrival in Canada.

You must be in Warsaw the day before departure.

If you need to take a test for COVID-19, it will be arranged additionally (contact the representatives of the foundation by phone +34931550087 on WhatsApp or Telegram or by email [email protected]).

The provincial government of Saskatchewan is organizing a 14-day quarantine for unvaccinated people.

Vaccination against rabies is mandatory for domestic animals.

Unaccompanied minors are not allowed on the flight.

Transfer to the airport

The representatives of the foundation will send an SMS in advance about the time and place of the meeting (usually PTAK EXPO). After that, a bus transfer to the airport will be organized. Drinks and food will be provided during the transfer. Transport and service are completely free.

Flight registration

Passengers traveling on the Warsaw-Regina flight must complete mandatory registration. To do this, you need to enter personal data in the questionnaire using the link. The questionnaire is filled out one time for the whole family (including for each child in your family), all names are entered in Latin characters. Submitting more than one form per family will result in a delay in registration.

After filling out the form, representatives of the fund will contact you to receive the following documents for each family member who plans to fly:

- copy of international passport

- a copy of the Canadian visa

- a copy of the vaccination certificate (in case of full vaccination)

- copy of rabies vaccination (if traveling with pets)

- a copy of your ArriveCan application (72 hours before the flight)

This information must be provided on Whatsapp by phone +34931550087 or sent by e-mail: [email protected].

Assistance on arrival in Canada

After landing in Regina, you will be met by the local authorities. Friends and relatives can meet you at the airport. If you need to travel to another city on your own, you can stay in Saskatchewan for a few days. They will help you collect documents and book tickets (which you pay for yourself). During this time, you will be provided with housing and the necessary support.

If you do not have family or friends in Canada, they will provide you with long-term housing and help with your studies, employment and all paperwork (including CUAET benefits). Additional information about accompanying Ukrainians in Canada, as well as obtaining housing, employment, and further assistance can be found at the link.

More detailed information about the organization of the departure, boarding pass and baggage can be found at the link.

It will be recalled that in mid-March, Canada announced the opening of a temporary migration program for Ukrainian refugees, which allows them to live and work in Canada for three years. Ukrainians can also apply for free accommodation during the first two weeks after arrival and financial assistance.
