The Ministry of Health has allowed a second booster dose of COVID-19 for people aged 60 and older, as well as certain adults.

For immunization, the Ministry of Health recommends using an mRNA vaccine, in particular Comirnaty/Pfizer, which is currently available in Ukraine. It is necessary to get revaccinated no earlier than 4 months after receiving the first booster dose.

Who can be vaccinated?

1. people older than 60 years;

2. employees of care facilities for the elderly;

3. people with disabilities;

4. people with immunosuppression;

5. people aged 18–59 years with diseases that increase the risk of severe COVID-19.

Where to get vaccinated?

Vaccination can be obtained at primary health care centers or mass vaccination points.

According to the Ministry of Health, an additional booster dose of the mRNA vaccine strengthens protection against the coronavirus in people over 60 years old and people with immunodeficiency. At the same time, the data show that the effectiveness of the vaccine for young people without chronic diseases is minimal.
