Travelers from Ukraine can travel to the Republic of Croatia without the need to prove or substantiate their reasons for the visit.
For visa-free entry to the Republic of Croatia you need a valid biometric passport and get a health insurance policy for the entire period of stay in the country.
Tourists can provide one of the following documents for entry:
- a document confirming a negative PCR test, which is done no later than 72 hours from the moment of testing until the moment of crossing the Croatian border, or a rapid antigen test - RAT for SARS-CoV-2, which is made no later than 48 hours before the moment of crossing the Croatian border;
- a vaccination certificate, which states that a person has been vaccinated with two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, which is used in the EU member states (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, SinoPharm, Sputnik V) no later than 14 days from the date of entry into Croatia and is not older than 365 days. If the vaccine includes a single dose (Janssen / Johnson & Johnson), then the vaccination must be carried out no later than 14 days from the date of entry into Croatia;
- a medical certificate stating that the person has recovered from COVID-19 and received one dose of vaccine within six months of contracting the virus, provided that the person was vaccinated within 210 days prior to crossing the border;
- a positive result of a PCR test, or a rapid test for the antigen referred to in paragraph 1, which confirms that the person has recovered from the SARS-CoV-2 viral infection, which was carried out in the previous 180 days, and which is older than 11 days from the date of arrival in a border crossing point, or a certificate that a person has recovered from COVID-19, issued by a doctor;
- in the absence of one to four of the aforementioned documents, entry into Croatia can be allowed, subject to the obligation to stay in self-isolation before passing the tests on the territory of Croatia at their own expense. After receiving the test results, the person is released from self-isolation. In the absence of the possibility of passing the tests, self-isolation lasts 10 days.
Children under 12 years of age are exempt from the testing obligation if they are traveling with a parent / guardian who has a negative PCR test, a rapid antigen test or a doctor's confirmation, or a person with Covid-19.
Persons, including citizens of Ukraine, who arrive in Croatia from countries where the new strain of coronavirus is widespread (the list of countries is published by the Croatian Health Institute (https://www.hzjz.hr/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Popis -država-za-koje-se-pri-dolasku-u-Republiku-Hrvatsku-primjenjuju-posebne-epidemiološke-mjere-prilikom-prelaska-granice.pdf), upon entering Croatia must present a negative PCR test result (valid 48 hours), and they will be assigned a 14-day self-isolation.The self-isolation can be reduced to 7 days, provided that an additional PCR test is passed at their own expense in Croatia (after 7 days of self-isolation) and if the test is negative.
The Croatian Border Guard recommends that all travelers register their intention to enter the country on the website of the Croatian Ministry of Internal Affairs https://entercroatia.mup.hr/, where it is necessary, in addition to personal data, to enter information about a negative test result (attachment of a document if available). The registration number is assigned immediately after registration on the website of the Croatian Ministry of Internal Affairs - such a confirmation will speed up the border crossing, but it is not an entry permit from the Croatian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The decision is valid until October 31, 2021
Allowed transit passage through the territory of Croatia, provided that the person leaves the territory of the country within 12 hours from the moment of entry. If a person does not leave the territory of Croatia within 12 hours, then self-isolation is automatically assigned to him.
When crossing the border and staying in the Republic of Croatia, all persons are obliged to comply with epidemiological safety measures, general and special recommendations and instructions of the Croatian Institute of Public Health.
