Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, many organizations and individuals have organized the delivery of humanitarian aid.

It has become especially relevant for internally displaced persons (IDPs), who have official status and the opportunity to receive food, clothing and other household items from international and domestic organizations.

The most common options for receiving aid for IDPs

To receive assistance, internally displaced persons should contact:

• local authorities (Center for the provision of administrative services and village councils)

• non-profit international organizations (Red CrossAVSI)

• religious organizations (Caritas in Lviv)

• funds of entrepreneurs and public organizations

• volunteers

If you are at the DOT, contact number 15-48 to complete an application.

What is necessary to receive humanitarian aid for IDPs?

In order to receive assistance, you must submit an application to the relevant organization and certify your status as an internally displaced person (IDP certificate in the "Diia" application or a printed certificate from the Center for the provision of administrative services).

In many cases, this can be done online. In others, you need to visit local institutions directly and leave applications in writing.

We talked about how to issue an IDP certificate earlier at the link.

Up-to-date information on the possibility of receiving food kits for displaced persons can be obtained from the local authorities at the place of current stay.

We would like to remind you, that the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine together with UNICEF, will provide winter clothing for the children of internally displaced persons. More details at the link.

In addition, a program of providing winter clothing for children under 14 years of age has been launched in the "YAMariupol" centers to support displaced families. Read about how to get here.
