Eurovision 2023: where the contest will be held and what is known about the Ukrainian band TVORCHI
The long-awaited Eurovision 2023 "On behalf of Ukraine" will be held in Great Britain. Learn more about the Ukrainian band TVORCHI, which will represent Ukraine this year
The Ukrainian electronic music band TVORCHI won the most votes from the jury and the audience. With the song "Heart of Steel", the duo will represent Ukraine in Liverpool next year.
Victory at the National Selection "Eurovision-2023"
On December 17, the TVORCHI band won the National Selection and won the right to represent Ukraine at the song contest to be held in Great Britain. The duo received the highest score from the audience and 9 points from the jury.
The song "Heart of Steel", translated as "Heart of Steel" is about Ukrainians - people with steel hearts. Ukrainians are moving forward despite all the difficulties and showing their indomitability.
What is known about the band TVORCHI?
The band was founded by sound producer Andrii Hutsuliak and vocalist Jeffrey Kenny in Ternopil in 2018.
It is an interesting fact that both musicians should have become pharmacists, if not for music, because Jeffrey and Andriy studied at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Ternopil National Medical University named after I. Ya. Gorbachevskii.

The guys met when they agreed to help each other learn English and Ukrainian, but the acquaintance turned into a strong musical tandem. Currently, Jeffrey is a vocalist and composer, and Andrii produces the band.
The duo recorded the first tracks at home, and now the guys invest about 100 thousand dollars in their music videos. TVORCHI's songs have topped the charts more than once and are well-known among Ukrainian listeners.
The most famous tracks of the duo are "Face to Face", "Believe", "Falling", "Body Language", "Body Language", "Come here".
Achievements of the band TVORCHI
This year's National Selection was not the first for the band. In 2020, the boys made an attempt to win representation at Eurovision. TVORCHI went to the final, but did not win. However, the song "Bonfire", performed by the band, was liked by the audience and became the most popular Ukrainian composition on the "Deezer" platform.
In the same year, they won in the "INDIE" nomination of the "Golden Firebird" music award.
In 2021, TVORCHI won the national music award "YUNA". They won in three nominations: "Best Pop Group", "Best Album" and "Best Electronic Hit". In July 2022, the group "YUNA" awarded the duet for "Best concert show" and "Best song in another language" - "Falling".
Eurovision 2023: "On behalf of Ukraine"
Although Ukraine won Eurovision 2022, next year's song contest will be held in Liverpool. The European Broadcasting Union decided not to hold Eurovision in Ukraine due to the security situation. Great Britain will hold the competition on behalf of Ukraine and will involve Ukrainian presenters in the event. In addition, during Eurovision 2023, guests will be able to visit a separate exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian art, so that guests and participants can experience Ukrainian culture and traditions.
We would like to add that Great Britain will hold the contest for the eighth time. The last time it happened was in 1998 in Birmingham.
Let's cheer for our team and expect victory next year!
