An electronic queue will appear at 16 checkpoints: how to use the eCherha application
Ukraine is launching an electronic queue that will work for any vehicle at 16 border crossing points. Find out more about how to download the eCherha in order to use the system
The government is launching an electronic border crossing system called eCherha at 16 checkpoints. It will work for all types of vehicles. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
It is noted that since the end of last year, the system has been successfully tested at two checkpoints. Now the electronic queue will be available to all drivers crossing the border.
How to use the eCherha app?
For convenient use, you need to download the eCherha app to your smartphone. Previously, you could join the online queue only at echerha.gov.ua. To register in the application, you need to use the login and password that the driver uses to authorize on the site.
After registration, the driver will see:
• Their status in the queue;
• The speed of the queue progress;
• time of arrival at the checkpoint.
Importantly, the user will be able to cancel the registration if necessary.
"The benefits of eCherha for Ukrainians are: a simple algorithm of actions, minimum effort on the part of the user, and huge time savings. Benefits for business: reduction of losses due to downtime, optimization of business processes, transparency and the same rules for everyone. Benefits for the state: streamlined transportation, elimination of physical queues, analysis of traffic flows", - the Prime Minister emphasized.
Please note that truck drivers who register in the electronic queue are exempt from entering service zones. The driver decides where to wait to cross the border.
Shmyhal emphasized that eCherha will become a universal system for all types of transport.
