HelfendeWände program: what is known

A federal housing search program has been launched for Ukrainian refugees in Germany. The government has created a digital platform that offers Ukrainians the opportunity to find safe housing in Germany quickly and easily.

The German-Ukrainian Association "Ukrainian Future" reports that such steps are primarily due to the fact that it is becoming increasingly difficult for Germany to accept and provide housing for refugees from Ukraine. Due to the constant influx of new refugees, the German authorities needed to find a new approach to providing housing for Ukrainians. That is why Wunderflats, together with the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the non-profit organization ProjectTogether, launched the #HelfendeWände campaign.

How to find free housing in Germany using the HelfendeWände platform

The website of the project helfendewaende.de, which is available in Ukrainian and russian, has simple and clear functionality, so it is very easy to apply and find housing. In addition, the website allows you to:

● Exchange contacts with the landlord and agree on details before moving in.
