In Poland, most Ukrainian refugees find employment, and this trend is a significant part of the migration process. Some of the newly arrived Ukrainians choose Poland not only as a place to seek asylum, but also to find work.
The analytical center of the international agency Gremi Personal presented the results of a survey of 1399 workers from Ukraine who were looking for employment in Poland.
We will tell you why Ukrainian citizens choose Poland to work in, as well as from which parts of Ukraine they come most often.

In addition, on our portal, you can immediately apply for car insurance - the Green Card, which is mandatory in 50 countries, including the EU.
From which regions of Ukraine do most refugees come to Poland?
According to the survey, most Ukrainians come from the following regions:
• Dnipropetrovska - 9.82%;
• Khmelnytska - 6.8%;
• Ivano-Frankivska - 6.3%;
• Lvivska - 6.05%;
• Volynska - 5.79%;
• Rivnenska - 5.79%;
• Kharkivska - 5.29%;
• Zhytomyrska - 5.29%;
• Vinnytska - 4.53%.
This is important to take into account, as the large number of Ukrainian workers in Poland has an impact on the economy and social sphere of both countries. According to analysts, more than half of the respondents are urban residents, which indicates a variety of sources of migration.
Changes in the geography of arrival of Ukrainians are also worth noting. Previously, the majority of migrants came from regions that were affected by the hostilities, but recently the trend has changed. Now, most Ukrainian workers come from different regions of Ukraine, which indicates that the situation in the country has stabilized.

According to official data, as of the end of 2023, 750 thousand Ukrainian citizens were registered in Poland as officially employed. This is an important factor that reflects the great contribution of Ukrainian labor migrants to the economic development of Poland.
We remind you! The Polish government is planning to consider a number of updated rules for Ukrainian citizens who have taken refuge in the country since the beginning of the full-scale war. Read more about what may change for refugees in Poland in the near future in our previous article.
