Ukrainians in Poland can receive 500 zlotys from the Red Cross

The Polish Red Cross will provide a new type of assistance for refugees from Ukraine - a certificate for 500 zlotys for the purchase of food, hygiene products, and other essential goods.


The program is planned to help 9,000 families from Ukraine. The certificates are financed by the funds of Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. The voucher can be redeemed from August 1 to September 16, 2022.

The program is designed for Ukrainians:

• refugees who crossed the border after February 24, 2022;

• living in the territory of the voivodeships where the program will operate: Nizhneshlensky, Lubuskie, Lesser Poland, Podkarpackie, Podlaskie, Slaskie, Świętokrzyskie, Warmia-Mazury, Wielkopolska;

• those who have not previously received financial assistance from the Polish Red Cross in the regions.


Certificates are provided to families with children, people over 50, and their family members, and guardians of persons with disabilities.

You can get help in the district departments of the Red Cross. The applicant must have the original passport, PESEL number, birth certificate of children, certificate of disability status (if necessary), and confirmation of the place of temporary residence - rental agreement, a certificate from the mayor's office, commune of residence in this place.
