Free travel from Poland to the UK for Ukrainians: conditions
A group of volunteers are organizing a free trip from Warsaw to the UK for refugees from Ukraine. Find out more about who can benefit and how to register
Ukrainians can get to the UK from Warsaw for free. The transfer will take place on March 19, 2023, thanks to volunteers, Helen Weale and A&A Coach Hire. We'll tell you who can take advantage of the trip and how to get tickets.
Free travel from Warsaw to the UK: details
The trip will take place by bus to the UK or Scotland. Free meals are available during the trip.
Please note that the organizers do NOT provide refugees with accommodation.
Who can benefit from the program?
You must meet the following criteria to get to the UK for free:
- Be a citizen of Ukraine;
- have a British visa;
- have a sponsor in the UK;
Note that there are no restrictions related to COVID-19 at the moment.
Transporting pets from Warsaw to the UK
You can bring animals that are not regulated by the UK Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA). Your pets must have the necessary documents, all vaccinations and stay in the EU for at least 90 days.

How to register?
To get a seat on the bus, you need to register in advance. To do this, send an e-mail to [email protected] with the following information
- First and last name
- date of birth
- phone number
- passport number and validity period;
- visa number;
- e-mail address;
- name, address, telephone number of your sponsor in the UK.

How can Ukrainians legalize their stay in the UK?
Currently, the Homes for Ukraine program is available for refugees from Ukraine. As part of this program, you need to find a British citizen who will become your sponsor and provide you with free housing for at least six months. The charitable organization USPUK is also engaged in the search for sponsors.
Upon arrival in the country, you can legally work and study, as well as use medical services.

The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.
Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.
Meals in hotels are provided through meals delivery service to rooms upon prior order or at hotel restaurants situated inside or in open areas, provided the distance of at least 1.5 meters between seats at adjacent tables.
Not more than 4 clients are allowed to stay at the table (excluding children under 14 years old). Unless these tables are separated by a special partition;
Self-serve is not allowed.
