February 2024 saw an increase in the number of Ukrainians who believe that the West is tired of the conflict in Ukraine. This is evidenced by the data of the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, which conducted a fresh survey.

How many Ukrainians believe that the West is tired of the war?

According to the study, conducted by KIIS from February 17 to 23, 2024, using telephone interviews with randomly selected mobile phone numbers and a survey of 1052 respondents, it was found that the percentage of Ukrainians who feel that the West is less interested in the Ukrainian situation has increased from 30% in October 2023 to 44% in February 2024.

"At the end of 2022, only 15% of Ukrainian citizens thought that the West was losing interest in Ukraine and its support, but a year later this figure increased to 30% in October 2023, and reached 44% in February 2024," KIIS reported.

The growth in the number of people who feel the West's fatigue with the situation in Ukraine is observed in all regions of the country, especially in the South and East, where the conflict is felt most acutely and where the majority believes that the West is seeking to obtain concessions from Ukraine.

However, there are still 49% of respondents who continue to believe in the West's support for Ukraine, although this figure has decreased from 76% at the end of 2022.

We remind you! During the full-scale war, the society of the European Union united as never before and helped the Ukrainians to win. However, the russian invasion dragged on, and the opinion about Ukraine's victory has changed somewhat. Find out what Europeans think about the outcome of the war.
