The passport service of the state-owned enterprise Document has resumed issuing passports to Ukrainians abroad. However, this process is still in test mode. Find out how and who can get a document.
How will passports be issued?
The company said that in order to prevent overloading the system and repeated technical failures, the issuance will be carried out primarily to socially vulnerable categories of citizens and after repeated receipt of an SMS message about the readiness of passports for issuance.
What to do if you are waiting for a ready document?
Persons waiting for the issuance of ready-made documents are asked to follow the following rules:
- have an SMS about the readiness of the passport - (received after 25 April);
- present an identity document (in particular, an e-passport in the Diia application);
- undergo the verification procedure and check personal data.

As a reminder, starting from 25 April, people aged 18 to 60 will be able to obtain documents only at the migration service offices in Ukraine. At the same time, documents will not be sent to foreign branches of the State Enterprise "Document".
At the same time, the following people can count on the Passport Service to issue documents:
- people with disabilities and guardians of persons with disabilities
- parents of children with disabilities;
- persons in need of constant care;
- those accompanying seriously ill children;
- persons from the Defence and Security Forces;
- those affected by the military aggression of the Russian Federation;
- those who have travelled abroad for treatment.
In addition, those citizens who have applied for the documents by 25 April will also be able to receive them. This procedure will be carried out in the usual manner immediately "after the technical problems have been resolved".
