The charitable foundation Habitat for Humanity Poland is introducing a program of financial assistance for renting housing for Ukrainian families who have found refuge in Poland.  This was reported by habitat.pl.

We will tell you what you need to participate in the "Step Home" program in the article below.

Financial assistance for renting housing in Poland for Ukrainians: what is known

It is noted that the "Step Home" program is designed to support people who have fled the war in Ukraine and have problems renting housing in Poland. The fund offers services for finding and arranging rental housing, as well as financial assistance and other types of support.

The program is open to persons who:

• have documentary evidence of crossing the border after February 24, 2022;

• currently reside in Poland;

• are ready to rent a dwelling for at least 12 months;

• have a minimum household income (depending on the region from 3,000 to 4,500 PLN);

• belong to the categories of persons who are particularly at risk of losing their housing.

The support program for Ukrainians is available throughout Poland. Services for refugees are free of charge, but participants are obliged to pay part of the costs associated with renting housing.

Communication with program participants is carried out via e-mail and telephone. The refugees will be responsible for reviewing offers, communicating with landlords and Habitat Poland, and inspecting available housing.
