Since the beginning of the war, foreigners have established more than 2.6 thousand companies in Ukraine: who most often starts a business

The full-scale invasion did not prevent foreign investors from developing their business in Ukraine. This demonstrates not only the interest of foreign businessmen in the development of the Ukrainian market, but also their confidence in the potential of the country's economy even during the period of military operations. Since the start of the large-scale war in Ukraine, more than 2,600 foreign companies have been established. This was reported by the open data platform Opendatabot.


We will tell you which citizens of which countries have started businesses in Ukraine more often and which largest foreign companies in Ukraine were founded after February 24, 2022.


How many foreign businessmen started their own business in Ukraine during the war?


It is noted that in general, citizens from 100 countries invested in Ukraine during the war. In particular, after the start of the full-scale invasion, 2652 companies were established by foreigners in the country. 


Turkish citizens opened the most companies in Ukraine - 13% of the total number of new businesses with foreign beneficial owners. Residents of the republic are listed as owners in 354 Ukrainian companies.  


Uzbek nationals own 274 new Ukrainian companies and account for the second largest number in the ranking - 10% of the total.


Poland ranks third with 193 businesses opened in Ukraine (7% of the total number of companies with foreign owners).


Other countries whose citizens also opened companies in Ukraine include the United States, Kazakhstan, Germany, Azerbaijan, and Israel. It is important to note that one company may have several owners.

The largest foreign companies in Ukraine that were opened during the war


The leader among the businesses is TENS1MA LLC with an authorized capital of UAH 1.28 billion, founded by a citizen of Armenia.


The second place is occupied by JSC "Closed Non-Diversified Venture Corporate Investment Fund "Yugen" with the authorized capital of UAH 700 million, owned by a US citizen.


The top three is rounded out by LFS LLC with an authorized capital of UAH 300 million, the main owner of which is a Polish citizen.
