Help our volunteers who support Ukraine and all foreigners in the country 24/7
HELP

The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (hereinafter referred to as the Red Cross), the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) signed a tripartite Memorandum of Cooperation in April. The main purpose of the document is to provide protection and the necessary support to socially vulnerable persons who have suffered as a result of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.

WHAT KIND OF ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED UNDER THE PROGRAM?

According to the official document, the ICRC is obliged to pay financial assistance to low-income families from the affected communities for three months, amounting to UAH 2,500 per person per month.

WHO CAN GET HELP?

Citizens who fall into the following categories can receive financial assistance under the program:

- If the family has the official status of a low-income family and the corresponding status is entered in the register of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.

- If the family lived in the territory of the following areas affected by hostilities before the start of the full-scale war on February 24, 2022. Assistance will be provided regardless of whether the family has left or remained in the community. List of areas:

• Donetsk oblast;

• Luhansk oblast;

• Zaporizhzhya oblast;

• Zhytomyr oblast;

• Kyiv oblast;

• Mykolayiv oblast;

• Sumy oblast;

• Kharkiv oblast;

• Kherson oblast;

• Chernihiv oblast.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM?

In order to participate in the program and receive financial assistance, you do not need to register or provide additional personal data, you only need to meet the two above criteria. Information about citizens will be passed to the ICRC and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine.

Important: The ICRC and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine do not perform any registrations for those wishing to join the program. Be careful, beware of scammers, and do not share your personal information with anyone.

HOW AND WHEN TO RECEIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE?

If you meet the two criteria mentioned above, expect an SMS message from the ICRC about inclusion in the financial assistance program and an SMS message from PrivatBank. The funds will be credited directly to the head of the family in the first weeks of June in two ways:

- to a bank account specified in the register of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine

- cash in any branch of PrivatBank convenient for you

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

After providing assistance, representatives of the ICRC or the Ukrainian Red Cross Society may call selected program participants for a brief interview. Please do not ignore the call.

You can contact the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine at the specified numbers. To submit appeals by phone, citizens should call the government hotline at 1545.
