How to prepare for winter if you live in a private house?
1. Reduce the heat loss of your home. If the windows at home are made of metal and plastic, perform preventive maintenance on fasteners and check the condition of the seals, and if the windows are wooden, seal the gaps. Also, if possible, ensure that the entrance and interior doors close tightly.
2. Prepare batteries, remove furniture, curtains from them, remove decorative panels. Stick the foil on the wall behind the batteries.
3. Check the readiness of your heating system.
4. Take care of alternative sources of heat: it can be a stove, a solid fuel boiler, a generator. Stock up on fuel for them.
5. In case of emergency, designate a room in your apartment for heating. Also, discuss with friends, relatives and neighbors the plan of action in emergency situations, agree on mutual assistance.

4. Together with the neighbors, prepare the house for winter. Seal windows and doors in the entrance, make sure that the door to the entrance closes well. Check attics, basements and the condition of communications, insulate pipelines.
5. Discuss with friends, relatives and neighbors the plan of action in emergency situations, agree on mutual assistance.
