Entry to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is allowed to foreigners if they have:
- a medical certificate / certificate of a negative test result for COVID-19 by the polymerase chain reaction method or a rapid test for the determination of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus antigen, which was carried out no more than 48 hours before crossing the state border of BiH (if the entry comes from countries Europe) and 72 hours (if the entry comes from other countries of the world);
OR
- confirmation of vaccinations with two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, made at least 14 days before crossing the border of BiH, or confirmation of vaccinations with one dose (if the vaccine is received in one dose), made at least 14 days before crossing the border of BiH ;
OR
- confirmation by a doctor about a coronavirus disease in the period from 14 to 180 days before crossing the border of BiH.
When crossing the border of BiH, such documents must be submitted in one of the official languages of BiH (Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian), or in English.
At the same time, the general requirements for entry into BiH, determined by the national legislation of the country, must also be met (for more information on the general requirements for entry, see the link http://sps.gov.ba/ulazak-stranaca-u-bih/?lang=en).
The above confirmations are not required from:
- children under 7 years old accompanied by parents or guardians, if they have one of the above confirmations;
- foreigners who are allowed temporary or permanent residence in BiH, if they return to BiH after a short-term departure to Montenegro, Croatia or Serbia, provided that the total stay in these countries lasted no more than 48 hours after leaving BiH (as evidenced by the imprint of the exit or entry stamp on the foreigner's travel document)
- citizens of Montenegro, the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Serbia, if they enter BiH directly from the states of their citizenship, as well as their minor children and spouses who are citizens of other states;
- crew members of the aircraft whose final destination is BiH;
- drivers of freight vehicles when carrying out international road transport of goods, provided that their stay in BiH will take no more than 12 hours;
- crew members of freight trains and ships in international traffic;
- employees of diplomatic, consular and other international organizations on duty, upon entering BiH, must have and present a valid passport;
- members of civil protection services and groups, when their entry into BiH is urgent and urgent;
- representatives of the armed forces of the member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and other states participating in the Partnership for Peace program, and representatives of the NATO and EUFOR headquarters in BiH;
- Heads of state and government and members of their delegations, information on arrival and departure from BiH of which was communicated to the border police of BiH through diplomatic channels or by the relevant protocol of the competent authority of BiH;
- foreigners in transit through the territory of BiH in order to return to the country of usual residence without delay in the territory of BiH;
- minor citizens of foreign states, one of whose parents is a citizen of BiH, as well as foreigners who are spouses of a citizen of BiH.
