Foreigners arriving in the Republic of Chile must present an insurance policy covering COVID-19 cases in the amount of US $ 30,000, have a negative PCR test for coronavirus taken no more than 72 hours before boarding the last flight to The Republic of Chile, as well as fill out a medical declaration (https://c19.cl) no more than 48 hours before entering the country.
The test is not required from children under 2 years of age.
It is mandatory to pass the PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 at the airport and undergo quarantine. In case of a negative result, the person must go through a 7-day quarantine (5-day for the owners of Pase de Movilidad), the first 5 days of which must be in accredited transit hotels (except for the owners of Pase de Movilidad and from 01.10.2021 - for all arrivals), the rest of the days - at the specified place during the passage of sanitary control at the entrance to Chile. If the test is positive, the arriving citizen must be transferred to a special medical institution and under the supervision of doctors. In addition, within 14 days from the date of entry into Chile, responses to inquiries in electronic form regarding their own well-being must be provided. An on-site check by medical services regarding the location of a person at the place of quarantine is also possible.
From 01.10.2021, entry into the Republic of Chile is allowed through all border control points, exit is only through airports in the cities of Santiago (Arturo Merino Benitez), Iquique and Antofagasta.
