Denmark opened its borders to Ukrainians, including for tourist travel, on July 17, 2021.
For visa-free entry to Denmark you need a valid biometric passport and get a health insurance policy for the entire period of stay in the country.
Ukraine is classified in the "yellow" zone, therefore, to enter, citizens of Ukraine must submit only a valid negative PCR test, which must be done no more than 72 hours before arrival in the country, or a rapid antigen test 48 hours before. The test result must be Danish, English, French, German, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish or Swedish.
Upon arrival in Denmark a test is also required. If you are traveling by plane, then take the test for free right at the airport.
Children under 15 are exempt from the testing requirement.
Passengers who have previously been infected with COVID-19 and therefore cannot provide a negative test result must provide a positive PCR test result that was performed at least 14 days and up to 12 months prior to arrival. These passengers are no longer considered contagious.
The COVID-19 test must be a PCR test to be used as a valid document before boarding an aircraft. It must contain the full name of the person being tested, and the time of testing and issuance of the certificate must be clearly indicated.
Vaccinated individuals are also exempt from testing. But an agreement has not yet been concluded with Denmark on the mutual recognition of Covid certificates, so Ukrainian documents will not be recognized.
To be considered fully vaccinated, you must meet the following requirements:
- The vaccine must be approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
- At least two weeks should pass from the moment of completing the full course of COVID-19 vaccination.
