Egypt allowed entry of vaccinated tourists without a PCR test 14 days after receiving the second dose of the two-component vaccine (Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Sputnik V), or 14 days after receiving the first dose of the Johnson & Johnson single-component vaccine.
The certificate must contain a QR code and must not contain any corrections, erasures or corrections. Ukrainians can generate and print a vaccination certificate with a QR code from the Diia portal. The electronic versions of the certificates have not yet been recognized by the Egyptian side.
! All unvaccinated tourists arriving in Egypt must have a laboratory seal, doctor's signature and / or QR code on their PCR tests, without which the PCR test results will not be considered valid. A printed document is required!
Certificate requirements according to the circular from the Ministry of Health and Population of Egypt:
Without exception, all citizens over the age of 6 who will cross the Egyptian state border are required to have a certificate with a negative result of a PCR test done no later than 72 hours before arrival:
- The certificate must necessarily contain the exact date and time of the person taking the test;
- The certificate must be issued by an official laboratory registered in the state of origin of the document and must contain the laboratory's stamp, the doctor's signature and a QR code containing a link to the test result on the official website of the laboratory;
- The certificate must contain any corrections, erasures or amendments;
- The certificate must contain information about the type of test carried out;
- The certificate must necessarily indicate that the person underwent RT-PCR testing.
- The certificate must be issued in English.
- The certificate must contain information about the person who owns the test.
- Handwritten certificates are not accepted
In case of doubt about the validity of the test, the Egyptian side reserves the right to re-test upon arrival.

All travelers must also <a href="https://visitukraine.today/departure/en#insuranceFormWrap">get a health insurance policy for the entire period of stay in the coutry</a>, which includes full coverage of medical expenses and accommodation in connection with COVID-19 in case of any quarantine requirements. The details of the insurance policy must be uploaded when filling out the health declaration form.
Citizens arriving at the airports of the resort cities of Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Marsa Alam and Taba and who do not have the mentioned certificate with a negative PCR test result will be allowed to conduct a PCR test immediately upon arrival at these four airports. The cost of the PCR test will be US $ 30.
However, we recommend having a printed test result ready.
