How to travel abroad with a child in 2026?
According to the current legislation of Ukraine, the following rules apply to children's departure during martial law:
• Children under 16 can travel with one parent without the consent of the other.
• The child may also leave accompanied by a grandparent, adult brother or sister, stepmother, stepfather or other persons authorized by one of the parents in a written statement certified by the guardianship authority.
• Children over 16 years of age have the right to leave Ukraine on their own in accordance with Article 313 of the Civil Code of Ukraine.
