International passengers arriving on commercial flights must have either a negative PCR test for COVID-19 or a negative antigen test result no more than 72 hours after issue and before boarding the aircraft.
COVID-19 vaccination certificates are not currently required for entry into Peru.
Children under 12 years of age can present a satisfactory health certificate issued by a doctor instead of a negative test.
All passengers must also complete the Affidavit of Health and Geolocation Authorization - https://e-notificacion.migraciones.gob.pe/dj-salud/ - 72 hours prior to entry.
We also advise you to check the requirements with the airline a few days before the flight in order to collect the relevant documentation and regularly consult the airport website for the latest recommendations: https://www.lima-airport.com/eng/for-passengers/covid- 19- protocol / arrival-protocol (in English) and https://www.lima-airport.com/esp/para-pasajeros/protocolo-covid-19/antes-de-viajar (in Spanish).
It is prohibited to enter the country for foreigners who have been in South Africa within the last 14 days (if they do not have a residence permit in Peru).
Additionally:
- Upon arrival, the local migration service may request more detailed information and data on the stay of foreigners in the country. During a possible interview at the point of entry, the Peruvian migration authorities may require the foreign person to explain the reasons / motives for travel, confirmation of financial security, information regarding the address of residence and return tickets.
- Travelers must test negative for COVID-19 when leaving Peru and must show no symptoms of COVID-19. Masks and face shields must be worn both at the airport and during the flight.
- The Peruvian Migration Service (Migraciones) no longer applies entry / exit stamps to foreign passports when crossing the border. If you are traveling to Peru, keep in mind that although your passport will not be stamped, a digital record of your arrival or departure will still be separately generated on a dedicated migration server. These rules apply to both commercial and repatriation flights. For each day of "illegal" stay, it will be necessary to pay separately the corresponding administrative fine at the office of the migration service or upon departure at the airport.
- Minors staying in Peru for more than 180 days must have a notarized permission from the second parent to leave the country, unless the child is traveling with both parents. This notarized document must be presented to the immigration officers prior to boarding the flight.
Passengers arriving in Peru in transit (not via Europe) must carry a negative PCR test for COVID-19, which must be done no later than 72 hours before the date of the planned trip, and submit an electronically certified COVID symptom-free statement -19 on the website of the Peruvian Migration Service - https://e-notificacion.migraciones.gob.pe/dj-salud/
Wearing masks in public is mandatory, as is social distancing. In some places, the wearing of double masks is required, in particular for entering shopping centers, department stores, pharmacies and grocery stores.
