From August 1, the restriction on entry to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for holders of tourist visas who have been vaccinated will be lifted. They will not need to undergo mandatory quarantine
All travelers, without exception, must provide:
- original vaccination certificate confirming that foreigners and stateless persons received a full course of vaccine approved by the Ministry of Health of the KSA (Pfizer / BioNTech, Oxford-AstraZeneca, Moderna - 2 doses of vaccine, Johnson & Johnson - 1 dose), at least 14 days before arrival;
Not officially defined, but Saudi Arabia accepts the Diia app, a printed certificate from the Diia portal and an international certificate issued by a doctor as proof of vaccination
- must complete the "Immunization Registration Information Form" found at https://muqeem.sa/#?vaccine-registration/home;
- a negative result of a PCR test for coronavirus, which was made no earlier than 72 hours before crossing the state border of Saudi Arabia (in English or Arabic with a wet seal). Children under 8 years of age are exempt from PCR testing.
- download and register in the Tawakkalna mobile application, where you provide your personal data.
Now other vaccines approved by WHO for emergency use, incl. CoronaVac from Sinovac is not recognized in KSA.
Violation of quarantine rules is punishable by a fine of up to 200 thousand ATS (53.3 thousand US dollars), imprisonment for up to 2 years, or both punishments together. In the event of a repeated violation, the amount of the fine will be doubled. Foreigners are also punished with deportation from the country, followed by a ban on entry into the Kingdom.
Transit is possible subject to the rules specified by the air carriers.
When traveling within the country, it is imperative to have the Tawakkalna application (https://ta.sdaia.gov.sa/en/index) - an electronic passport that displays a photograph, a special code that is assigned upon entry and vaccination status. Through it, citizens receive all types of permits to attend mass and other events, without which it is impossible to enter anywhere.

- Immunized - dark green
- No disease detected - green
- Self-isolation on arrival - purple
- Contacted - orange
- Sick - brown
- Self-isolation - blue.
Depending on the color, some events can be attended before August 01, after August 1, exclusively for the vaccinated.
