For visa-free entry to Slovakia you need a valid biometric passport and get a health insurance policy for the entire period of stay in the country.
After entry, citizens of Ukraine are required to undergo procedures (quarantine or otherwise) determined by the current decision of the Health Department of the Slovak Republic (taking into account the presence or absence of vaccination among citizens of Ukraine). It means that:
- unvaccinated persons are registered on the website https://korona.gov.sk/ehranica/ and are required to self-isolate for a period of 14 days (if during this time no symptoms occur or testing has not been carried out). Self-isolation can be discontinued with a negative RT-PCR test on day 5 at the earliest. Children under 12 do not need to take the test.
- Ukrainian citizens who have a vaccination certificate (2 doses) (in English, Slovak or Czech), before entering, register on the website https://korona.gov.sk/ehranica/ and are exempted from self-isolation. All vaccines registered by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine are accepted.
A person is considered vaccinated if:
- less than 14 days have passed, but not more than 12 months, after receiving the second dose of the vaccination in a two-fold scheme;
- 21 days have passed, but not more than 12 months, after receiving a one-time vaccination.
! Slovakia accepts vaccination certificates in the Diia app, paper certificates from the Diia portal with a QR code and paper certificates from a family doctor.
Air passengers must additionally fill out the form https://www.mindop.sk/covid/forms/edit/f25514fa368880ccc3ae9f4df979ab07ddf4
To travel through the territory of the Slovak Republic, as before, the need to move without stopping applies, with the exception of refueling.
